If you know HFSS, then this will be understandable. If not i recon that you should go through a detailed tutorial. This is just a side note so that one will be able to follow the steps easily.
- Open HFSS.
- Start a New Project
- Insert HFSS
- Set solution type
- Set units
- Set design properties (variables)
- Draw one pole of the dipole.
- Set the material.
- Duplicate it along the x-axis
- Draw a rectangle in YZ-plane
- Make it the lumped port
- Draw the E-field vector.
- Insert the radiation boundary. (Select faces and apply the boundary)
- Make the material to vacuum.
- Add solution setup.
- Define frequencies to feed
- Define the frequency sweep.
- Validate & Analyse.
- For far field make sure to insert Infinite Sphere for Radiation.
